STAT is now accepting applications for the Sharon Begley-STAT Science Reporting Fellowship. The nine-month fellowship is intended for early-career U.S. journalists from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented in the profession and is designed to prepare them for a successful career in science journalism.

• The media is still mostly failing to convey the urgency of the climate crisis. Most news coverage, especially on television, continues to underplay the climate story, regarding it as too complicated, or disheartening, or controversial.
